They called me regarding a "Maintenance Engineer," position. Required 3-5 years of direct, hands-on, wrench-turner experience. All of my experience revolves around project management, corporate, and life science experience. How these recruiters, screeners keep calling about completely irrelevant jobs is wild. While I was on the phone with this winner I asked about a couple other positions on their site that are much more of a fit with my background. I received a quick "oh, yeah.....you don't fit those positions." Really? I just ended the discussion. Positions that align with my experience and current pay are not a fit, but call me about a contract, wrench-turner turner position that does not even offer travel or living expenses. How these people are able to hold a job when they cannot dissect a resume is astonishing. How can "professional, technical recruiters" be this inept?
