      Senior Product Manager Interview

      Sep 9, 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Turvo in Aug 2025

      Interview

The head of HR was genuine and nice … actually too much flattery made it awkward. Now it’s clear they were pumping me up for the CPO who was a difficult man. Many red flags: (1) Long delay between interviews meant lost momentum. (2) CPO’s tone changed from “nice” to “I don’t like you” in the first 5 minutes. Then just a load of polite bull for the rest of the call. It felt like “You don’t fit the mold / type / image / picture of the person that I want, so I’m going to be polite for the rest of the time.” (3) CPO gave vague and unclear answers even when pushed. (4) Finally, they were wishy-washy about the location. They REALLY wanted me to work in-person in Dallas even though the job description said “Remote.” It was very hypocritical — the CPO was in Seattle. He didn’t move to Dallas. Why should I move?

      Interview

Multiple rounds of interviews with case studies and strategy questions. Everyone was very helpful through the process and it was conversational. The recruiter was very helpful too. Overall a very nice experience.
