1-1 Interview with CEO's Chief of Staff followed by a presentation to the CEO.
The 1-1 was OK. Little attempt to build rapport or "sell" TransferRoom to me. Evidently that went well enough to progress to the next round and was set a task which involved presenting how I'd tackle their hiring list. I was called on the Sunday night to check I'd done my homework, which I obviously had - and it was made clear that my slide deck needed to be at least 10-12 slides. Fortunately mine was 18 and I was prepared.
The second round was a disaster. The CEO made no attempt to build rapport. He asked no questions about my motivations, took no interest in building rapport, didn't bother selling TransferRoom - which didn't come as a surprise per se, I had been briefed that he was "very direct". More troubling however was his attitude to the happiness and wellbeing of his existing employees, which he rather haughtily dismissed as "not wanting people to just come to HR every time they have a problem with their little toe".
I was provided no feedback on the deck (which at their request, I put considerable time into). A truly dismal experience all round.
