First interview was great. Mostly just chatted for a little under an hour about finance and coding. There was some light technical questions, and he was very friendly. I applied to multiple positions and he explained all of them to me and wanted to help me find the best fit. Second interviewer was extremely rude from the beginning. He started asking statistics brainteaser questions and when i was talking through how I would approach the problem he kept saying things like “why would you do that, that doesn't make any sense”. Did not help walk through questions at all and it felt like he was actively trying to make me as uncomfortable as possible. Mid way through the interview process, the hiring manager also tried to poach me for his shady crypto trading fund. He basically cold called me and told me about the position for 35+ mins without mentioning that it was a midnight shift position. The position seemed basically just like a trading monkey that hits a button when the model tells you to with zero growth opportunities . He tried to pretend like he didn’t find me through my trans market application, and when i told him I applied there he tried to discourage me by saying things like “oh how did your interview go? Oh you didn't have one yet? Decisions are usually made way before now. Our program is one of the most competitive out there with 10,000 people applying every year” he tried telling me it was more competitive than citadel (lol). I dont think I was fully prepared for the interview of the specific job I applied for, but other companies I interviewed with did a lot better job listening to me as a candidate and helping find a role that fit. Other companies also seemed nicer in general. Overall, my interview experience left a very bad taste in my mouth and I will not be applying with them again in the future.

Technical phone call w/ QT first round, then a less technical phone call with a more senior trader second round. Nothing too difficult, largely based on my experience (which is relevant for the role, considering I would be a lateral candidate with 1 year of experience).
