Nobody in the office was wearing masks, during a peak pandemic wave; was told that the managers "viewed the employees like family and wouldn't want to make family wear masks", and that this was OK because none of them had real family at home.
I asked about how the company weathers economic challenges, and the CEO responded with a shrug and said they were bulletproof... after already confirming the position was open due to layoffs earlier in the year.
I asked about the company culture and was told that they all care about being the best at what they do, but that nobody actually cares much about the service itself.
Overall, I was left with a sense of duplicitous double-speak. And when I asked what salary range they were expecting to offer for the position, they lowballed me by $10,000.
