I was blown away at the unprofessionalism and chaos that was a part of this process especially for a VP level role.
First round interview with HR through Hello Sunshine was fine. She thoroughly chatted through the role, asked relevant questions and allowed enough time for me to ask questions. Then, she sent me a follow up email to move to the next round. However, I was told to follow up and schedule with the executive assistant directly of the next person I was to interview with (which I found odd.)
The next interview was cringy. The interviewer was not only late to my interview but also told me she had no idea who I am or anything about me as her “assistant didn’t pass” along my resume. That was a red flag. She also spent most of the time talking (not really asking me questions) and it seemed she was trying to talk me out of the job. I was only able to ask two questions. I walked away from that interview concerned and scratching my head as it came off as chaotic and unprofessional for that level of a role.
