I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Arlington, VA) in Nov 2011
Interview
you get a robo call with a code and a phone number to call.
The call ends up being a phone interview with some random hr person. If you pass this you get an interview with a direct supervisor at the store you are potentially being hired at,
This interview is a prototypical entry level retail interview. Tell me a little about yourself, what kind of hours are you interested in, what's youf experience at this kind of work, etc....
It started with an automated call. Then meet with the store manager. Learned about the job. I would be assisting with stocking the shelves and other miscellaneous tasks around the store. Ultimately decided to not take the position.
The interview process was easy, at least at the distribution center. It is a lot of hard work though. Unless you need a job right away, I would not suggest it
