Incredibly long drawn-out process. Had to go for a psychometric test, an interview, medical assessments at three camps spaced very far apart (two within one day), and a security vetting session. The whole process ran on for around 6 months before I was finally informed that my application could not be furthered, and reasons could not be provided. The security vetting body could have informed their recruiters about very basic requirements on a surface level to obtain the necessary clearance (e.g., teetotaler, debt-free), to avoid wasting resources and time (e.g., medical and dental officers and counter staff tending to candidates who do not satisfy surface requirements for clearance, vetting officers having to process those candidates). A lot of efficiency is lost because first level filtering is not carried out properly with surface requirements input from the vetting body.
