Applied online and two weeks later was asked to do a virtual interview where you record yourself answering a few questions. Days later was asked by the founder/CEO to come in for an interview at my preferred location. They told me it would be working interview, and I was excited and serious about the job so I didn’t mind getting into the weeds right away. Though I thought I did well, however the manager was busy, not paying attention at all to my work serving customers, bussing tables, checking on refills, doing dishes, etc. so I wasn’t surprised I wasn’t selected for the job. They also didn’t pay me for my time which not only is against labor laws and will be reported but makes me think they might be doing this to cover time slots where they need assistance. Really unprofessional and shady practice.
