I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Tesco (Ely, England) in Aug 2015
Interview
Had a group interview. Asked to introduce ourselves and told some info. Split into teams to build 6ft tower from paper, was actually quite fun and didn't feel like an interview. After went out to talk to customers and pack shopping. Then went back to interview room and asked 2 questions, very simple and easy. Overall had a good time, was 2 hour 20 mins but didn't feel like it.

Question 1
tell me a time you went above and beyond for a customer/someone
Tesco interview is a friendly, straightforward conversation focused on customer service and teamwork. Hiring managers typically ask scenario-based questions to assess how you handle fast-paced retail environments. Okay if slightly easy overall.
Pretty fun. Seemed like it would be hard work, but I thought the people would be nice to work with. All in all professional and interesting. Would recommend it as a process
Straight forward enough. Just a bit of a chat with store manager. Lasted about 20 mins or so. Had a look round the store and I asked about what the shifts were and if I could do part time to fit round school.

Question 1
They asked how flexible I could be on allocation of shifts and if I could work weekends.
