I was reached out to by the Help Desk Manager about a Help Desk Technician postion at TechSolutions. This process consisted of three main interviews. The 1st was an over-the-phone initial interview. Here I made clear my salary expectations. I was then invited for an over-the-phone technical interview. Then, I was invited to a Zoom interview with the owner. The next day, I was offered a Help Desk Technician II position. They offered be $20k/year less than what I said in my initial interview. This was very frustrating as I wasted a lot of time going through the whole interview process. This would have been different if I didn't make my salary expectations at the very beginning of the process.
