Recently, I attended an interview for a Test Automation position. The process consisted of multiple rounds including a technical round, managerial round, and HR discussion.
In the technical round, I was asked questions about Java basics, OOP concepts, Selenium, Playwright, TestNG, API testing, and framework design. They also asked scenario-based questions like handling dynamic elements, synchronization issues, and writing code to remove duplicates from a string. I was also asked about my previous project responsibilities and automation strategy.
The managerial round focused more on problem-solving skills, communication, leadership scenarios, and how I handle pressure situations. They also asked about my career goals and why I am looking for a change.
Overall, the interview experience was good and professional. It helped me understand my strengths and areas where I need improvement, especially in explaining framework architecture more clearly.
