Cold and impersonal. My initial screening interview lasted 15 minutes and I wasn't even afforded the opportunity to ask any questions about the role or department. The recruiter told me they're moving me on to a 2nd interview, gave me the name of the person who'd be interviewing me, but no job title or how their role related to the one I was interviewing for (turns out it was the hiring manager).
Second interview was better and more thorough, but done over the phone and not video conference like I would have expected.
The follow up process was garbage, though. The interviews went well and when I asked the hiring manager if there were any deficiencies in my background/experience that made them question whether I'm right for the position, they answered, "literally none." Radio silence for nearly two weeks, then at 2:00a on a Sunday, I received a generic, auto-generated email telling me that I'm no longer under consideration. Very frustrating that after multiple interviews and several emails exchanged with the recruiter, I didn't even hear anything from the recruiter. But don't worry - the generic email reassured me that they "value" me as a candidate.
If this is the candidate experience that Target provides, maybe I didn't want to work there anyway.
