They only hire within. I found out that I was considered for the role primarily to make sure we covered all our bases for the interview process. It was a waste of time.

I was called for a phone interview to discuss the company and the position, and then a second phone interview was conducted a week later where I was asked to provide STAR statements and was told I should be hearing about an in person interview next. I never received the phone call requesting that I come in for the in person interview.
