      Program Management Interview

      Jun 3, 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Minneapolis, MN
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Target (Minneapolis, MN) in Mar 2014

      Interview

Interview was VERY canned and scripted. After a couple of hours of online work filling out what amounted to psych profiles, the 4 hour interview in person felt very impersonal and overly scripted. All interviewers had a list of pre-defined questions. No real follow up questions were added and it felt no more informative than filling out the application really. Interviewers, minus maybe 1 or 2, were not very talkative, nor very polite really. I also gained little knowledge about the company (very little time given for me to ask questions about the role). To make it worse, after I started interviewing, it became apparent that the role was not even close to the role explained to me. To put this in perspective, their recruiter contacted me specifically for this role. So the process amounted to a waste of time for everyone involved. I was told that I was a strong candidate, but that I really should be interviewed for a PM position (The spot I applied for!!!)
