Interview
I applied for a summer job at Target to earn some extra money for college. I originally applied for a position in the beauty department, but I didn’t get a second interview because I “don’t wear makeup.” That’s a personal choice, and it doesn’t reflect my ability to sell products or my knowledge of beauty brands. Target is not like Macy’s or Ulta, where employees are expected to apply makeup on customers. At Target, the role is about selling beauty products—not demonstrating them on yourself.

The interview was in person and they asked very basic questions. It was short (less than 30 minutes). They asked around 5 questions. I immediately was informed that I was hired after it ended.
