I went through three rounds of face-to-face interviews with a large number of technical and behavioral questions. Before the interviews, the HR representative agreed to my expected salary, so I proceeded with the process in good faith.
However, after successfully completing all three rounds, the company reduced the offered salary by around 30% from what had initially been discussed. This was disappointing and felt unfair after the time and effort invested.
Additionally, my interaction with HR was unprofessional. Instead of discussing the situation respectfully, the HR representative came across as arrogant and made demotivating comments regarding another offer I had received. A hiring process should be transparent, respectful, and consistent with the commitments made to candidates.
I hope the company improves its recruitment process by maintaining salary transparency and treating candidates with professionalism throughout the hiring journey.
