I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at T-Mobile (Orlando, FL) in May 2013
Interview
Was referred by some friend working at t mobile, which is the best when you can get one or several employee referral. Get you into the door much quicker. Applied online and passed the assessment test. Got a call for an interview with a store manager and passed the first interview with situation and behavioral questions (friendly interview). Sent out email to do a background check through (hireright), which took about a week and was easy if you don't have much history to check for. Did a second interview 1 week later with another store manager with similar questions and passed (friendly interview). Did a third interview for the requested store location manager 2 weeks later and didn't have to interview with the district manager (more serious interview). Got a job offer 2 days later. The whole process for me took longer than expected because of positions being available at certain locations I wanted, total about 4 weeks.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
(Unexpected Question) How much are you looking to make?
They didn't specify what they wanted, claiming a flexible schedule and really emphasizing hiring women, and the whole point is not to check all the boxes. I only asked for Sundays off, and they said they specifically needed me for those days. However, there was no indication in the application that they would specify this; otherwise, I wouldn't have applied. So, needless to say, I didn't get the job because I wasn't willing to compromise. I mean, if none of that matters to you, then I'm sure you can get the job.
