There are two interviews: one zoom and one in person with the clinical director
In the first Zoom interview, there are two portions: one question portion and a psychological test section.
In the first half, they will ask you general questions that you'd normally expect from an interview such as, "what experience do you have working with children with autism?" "why do you want to work here/why would you be a good fit for this role?" "what was your education experience like growing up?" and "what hobbies do you enjoy outside of work?"
The second half consists of programs that they use for the children they teach. I assume that they judge you based on how you approach and handle any difficulties with these tests.
The first test was the stroop test, where they have you read the colors of words instead of what is spelled out.
The next two tests were testing for phonics/decoding skills and auditory processing disorder: The interviewer reads out nonsense words and you have to spell out the pseudowords to the best of your ability. The third test is a listening-comprehension test where you have to summarize and make inferences about the story the interviewer reads. If you fail any one of these tests, you are likely to not get the job even if you have experience working with children with disabilities.
These programs are screening measures for learning disabilities, and the interview is heavily weighted on this portion.
So essentially, if you have a learning disability they do not want you to teach children with learning disabilities.
