      Senior Salesforce Administrator Interview

      Apr 24, 2024
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Phoenix, AZ
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at StormWind Studios (Phoenix, AZ) in Apr 2024

      Interview

At first applied on indeed for a Sales Development Representative - Hybrid Work Schedule. Once they looked at my resume. They asked me about my salesforce background and if I was interested in pursuing that. Of course I am. That’s why I submitted my resume. Than I asked for a salary no lower than 85k. They said “that’s no problem” and we started the chain of emails of what would be a game of pickleball for sure. Back and forth just to schedule an interview. I was in the process of relocating. I wanted to lock in a position and job offer in 2 weeks. Since so many of their interview story’s said they happen so fast. I setup a phone call with the job recruiter and we speak and we skip over the whole thing about the base position and go onto my salesforce admin experience. Than we setup a zoom call with the VP of sales and development a week later. It gets pushed back even further. Than I speak to the guy. Boy does it sound like to good to be true. An entire hour goes by. Talk about the role and whom I’d be replacing and than salary. The guy offers me 10k more than I asked. So I’m at 90k. For a Senior SalesForce admin position. It obviously comes with extra bonuses and commissions. Which is great. He said he has to check in with his current admin to see when the guy is gonna be moving on. As he plans on being out in the next few weeks. This is just on par with my scheduled move. Than a 10 days of silence all for me to push to contact the hr rep and my past co worker reference and than the VP through text message. The position is not available, the current admin is going to stay now. That’s a major bummer. But!! He says he can offer me the original position temporarily than “ramp up” into the admin roll. Well now things are smelling pretty funny now. I play along and attempt to schedule up a call with the hr lady now since I now have to go in office to interview for a base appoint scheduler position for the sales team at 50k but broken into terrible commission tiers for some crap 90 day program. I’m sorry but noooo Oh and this position is available until July maybe June. I told them I need a base salary of 70k and an offer letter by the end of the week. Before I relocate. breezes over than sending me the pay scale and to schedule when to come in to interview. I’m sorry but sure why not. And than I find out they pulled this same shtick with a fellow employee from my old team a few months back. Avoid this snakes den. Terrible hiring tactics
