It was fairly simple, the manager showed you around a little, you met the head chef and talked to them both. They explain what you’ll be doing and how important you’ll be in the kitchen. They’ll ask for your hours, nothing too difficult to answer.

Interview
Friendly interview - Interested in availability; early mornings, evenings, public holidays (especially Christmas). Interview process was online, then a phone call, sit down interview and then a evening shift. The shift was in the restaurant as a runner, some interviews shifts last an hour - I however worked the whole shift due to low staff. If you are applying for bar interview shifts for the bar is running drinks (I would advice learning to use a waiters friend if you are applying for bar - as you will be required to open bottle of wine at tables).

Availability; Christmas, evenings, how flexible are you? Prior experience? Teamwork? How are you under pressure?
Manager’s energy was amazing, felt very comfortable going thru questions. I was given clear expectations from the job posted. The location itself was pretty grand, it really did capture how an independent resort should be outside of chain franchises.
