I went through multiple rounds: the first offline round in Gurugram with basic MCQs (like the capital of Nepal, President of India, simple DSA questions such as finding the max and second max element in an array, a question on how the internet works, and one on database design). After that, I was asked to create an API for a social media platform. Then came the online round, which was quite tough — it included several scenario-based questions on security and system design, along with a DSA problem on prefix sums. Later, they called me again for an in-person technical interview, where I had to solve a problem on counting consecutive characters in a string and answer more system design questions. The final round was with the CEO, who focused on SQL. After all that, they offered just 6 LPA fixed and 0.5 variable. It felt really disappointing to go through so many rounds and spend two working days, only to find out they didn’t have the budget. They could have discussed the salary range beforehand instead of wasting so much time.
