There were three interviews, frist one was with HR person which went normally. Second interview was with Principal/QA Lead which went very well, he asked very relevant questions.
The third interview was with a four man panel that included 1 junior tester that started in the company 2 months ealier, a junior backend developer that started with the company 4 months ealier a senior developer and a delivery manager.
Previously to the 3rd interview, I was sent a small coding test and a QA analysis problem that I was to resolve and then I was told we'd be discussing my solutions in the 3rd interview.
Sp the 3rd interview starts and the supposed discussion about my solutions was in reality me narrating the text and code I wrote, I received absolutely no questions or comments about my solutions.
Since there weren't any questions we moved on to the next step at this point, which was a series of questions from the Delivery manager which lasted pretty much until the end when I asked two questions myself and afterwards the interview finished
So basically there was a 4 person panel interview where two of the people basically didn't speak(the two juniors), the senior developer had two questions and the rest were delivery manager questions.
Next day I receive feedback that while the company liked me they didn't like me enough to offer me the money I had requested at the start of the process, but that they still want me to join so they will be offering me 25% less than what I requested.
I obviously turned them down flat, I've never been baited and switched so hard in my life and this from a company whos founders brag that they were leaders in HR and Recruitment.
