After applying online I received an email saying I would was scheduled for a phone interview. After a week I was flown out to Dallas, Texas for in person interview.

Interview
Started with a simple resume application. When I moved past that I had to write a "Why Southwest" Essay. I then was chose for a phone interview. It lasted about 45 minutes and was with the recruiter I'd been talking to throughout the process. From the initial application to that interview it was about 4 months.
