I applied online. I interviewed at Southwest Airlines in Oct 2015
Interview
First, I had a phone interview with a recruiter, then an in-person interview with 2 members from that team and the recruiter. It was a pretty straightforward process, but it was very, very slow. They are constantly going through applications, interviewing, and hiring interns because they go through about 400 each calendar year. You really need to be informed about Southwest and stand off of the page.
The good news is that if you have an in person interview, you are only going up against 3-4 other people, so it isn't so difficult. Just be sure to be confident and relate your experience DIRECTLY to the position you are applying for.

Interview
There was a phone interview and an in-person interview. The recruiters are very kind and mostly want to know how your past experiences prepared you for what you applied for and how your personality aligns with Southwest!

Interview
There are two stages for the interviews - one with a recruiter over the phone and one with your potential team in person in Dallas, TX. Your 'team' could be comprised of anywhere between 1 and 8 people.

Question 1
Depending on the position, they may ask you more technical questions - but they will often ask about what makes Southwest important to you, etc.

Interview
I had a wonderful experience throughout the entire interview process. The first step was a phone call interview and from there I was brought into the headquarters for an in-person interview. They made me feel extremely comfortable and it was more of a conversation than an interview.
