      Recruiter Interview

      Apr 22, 2021
      Anonymous employee
      Dublin, Dublin
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Slack (Dublin, Dublin) in Mar 2021

      Interview

Fast and Concise One coordinator approached me first and got to know their open role. The process was quite fast. Got 2 calls by the hiring managers and then moved to the peer to peer interview. And the last one was with one of the hiring managers. People came across genuinely good people and professional.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

First round was quite general one talking about your overall experience. Second round, I was not asked directly about typical questions but got to explain about my strength and weakness naturally. Third one in the peer to peer one, I just talked about what I was doing in the current role. And in the last one with a sales manager, I tried to ask some relevant questions as if I was in the intake meeting.

      Recruiter Interview

      Sep 8, 2020
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Slack in Jun 2020

      Interview

I had a recruiter screen, followed by a Zoom interview with the HM and then a final round Zoom w/ the remainder of the team. Overall it was about a 3 week process and I felt updated every step of the way!

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

The questions were not just focused on my past experience, but really dug into how I work with a team, areas where I was looking to grow/develop and both wins and failures of my career. I felt the questions were really smart and took into account both what I could bring to the job and my potential to grow at Slack.

      Recruiter Interview

      Jun 20, 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I interviewed at Slack (San Francisco, CA)

      Interview

I had a call with a member of the recruiting team. It was a really great call, that went twice as long as scheduled. I was most disappointed to never receive any follow up message and just have my candidacy fade into oblivion. As a recruiter, I value this type of transparency from recruiting for candidates and found it very disappointing and unprofessional.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

How do you handle difficult conversations with candidates who have not been selected for the role?
