Their interview process is a total joke and a waste of time. I would strongly advise never to apply to them.
Before the interview is a pre-interview. The first part of the pre-interview involves answering questions involving calculations of certain benefits afforded in South Africa such as UIF and SDL. On the surface the questions appear simple, but they are in fact tricky, and in the questionnaire they send, you are given an example calculation that is meant to throw you off. The company expects you to share your calculations via email, which I found demeaning and bizarre.
The second part of the pre-interview involves a coding exercise. The coding exercise does not resemble anything close to the job description, and I would describe it as a brain teaser.
The company gives you 1 day to finish with the pre-interview. If you manage to submit the pre-interview you are then scheduled for the first interview. The first interview is no better, and it involves going through the pre-interview, then being asked to give text book definitions for some common technical concepts like: What is password hashing? What is a left join? Which they expect you to answer from the top of your head with no prior preparation.
Avoid at all costs.
