I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Siemens (Round Lake, IL) in Jan 2016
Interview
Hiring process was extremely long and tedious. Very disorganized and lengthy. Took 3.5 months overall from initial contact to the actual start date. Had interview with 7 people. All interviewers were great pleasant people. Lots of behavioral questions from hiring manager. The rest of the interviewers concentrated mostly on actual job experience.
Then after all interviewing was complete there was a hiccup on their end and I had to wait almost a month to obtain additional approval on this position from CIO if the company due to tightening of hiring which was unnerving and frustrating.
Three stages of interviews with HR, direct manager and directors. First one is a phone screening then an online TEAMS interview then lastly an in person interview in their head office
I was asked to answer a product strategy question with a video. the video was 2 min max and i could record the answer as many times i wanted.
the question was about a legacy software product from siemens.

Question 1
How i would migrate a well established software product from siemens to a SaaS solution
Extreme lack of consideration for the candidate experience.
The job application process takes 2 hours to fill in. Many irrelevant or repeating questions. E.g. what is your date of birth? It has nothing to do with a candidate's ability to do the job.
2-3 days later, a generic rejection message.
