I have been working at Siemens full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The role is challenging yet rewarding and I work alongside a great team.
Our working hours are flexible so I can work around family commitments and know that the company recognises the days you put long hours in. They are similarly very accepting of home working as long as it suits the work you need to do.
The benefits are good and also flexible - you choose what you want to have.
The company itself is proud to push all staff to act as if they own the company. Treat everyone fairly, recognise how we can improve the company and especially how to can reduce our carbon footprint; the company is keen to do what we can to help improve the planet whether in carbon reduction or aligning with charities around the world to help bring power, water, a future etc to all.

    Cons

The learning curve is sharp; you are expected to jump in to a new role with both feet and get up to speed as soon as possible. As long as you have passion for a role then this shouldn't be an issue.

    Advice to Management

Continue to respect staff and all levels and you'll continue to be rewarded. My colleagues and I are very dedicated to this company and it makes it a pleasure to work here.

    Pros

    Cons

I have been working at Siemens full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good work-life balance, with flexible hours. Interesting work with opportunities to work on a variety of things. Generally flat structure so it's easier to find leadership roles. Opportunities to build knowledge. People who work there tend to stay for a long time. Can work remotely.

    Cons

The office is located in a depressing, isolated office park with no amenities. Frustrating tools/processes imposed top-down which creates obstacles to work. Management-heavy (almost as much effort into billing/planning/statusing work as doing the work.) Shrinking industry.

I have been working at Siemens full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Flexible work environment, interesting technology development, many different products and positions enables easy moves to new responsibilities, international company, has awareness of and attempts to improve gender equality in leadership positions.

    Cons

Top-heavy organization: lots of managers, not a lot of people doing the work. Teams in different continents can make projects difficult to progress.

    Advice to Management

Fewer managers over viewing each project, the project work is significantly slowed down because of the high amount of time required to communicate to the numerous managers who have been appointed as stakeholders. A project with 2 people working on it can easily have 6 managers requiring updates and commitments, etc.

I have been working at Siemens full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

relax environment, less pressure, good salary, friendly colleagues, awesome work life balance

    Cons

zero guidance, no training for new employee, zero chance to get a promotion, manager puts his nose into everything

    Advice to Management

manager should do his managerial work. there are team leads to lead the team. but our manager tries act as a team lead too. which is a poisonous thing to do in a office culture. he tries to act like a all-rounder ( i am sure he has good intention) but it doesn't help at all. creates more confusion and unnecessary pressure in the team.

the manager gives more salary to the new employees, which creates dissatisfaction and anger to the good and skilled existing employees. and thats why everybody in the team is actively trying to switch their jobs.
