Business Management - Entry Level - Paid Training Interview

      Dec 1, 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Salt Lake City, UT
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at SLC Events (Salt Lake City, UT) in Nov 2016

      Interview

Applied online, got call to set up interview within a day. First interview was at downtown SLC office and was very basic with no discussion of the actual job. Second interview was at big membership store in the food court area. There was another candidate booked to interview with the same time and we were interviewed together. The interview consisted of walking around the store and seeing others doing the "entry level" job, which had absolutely nothing to do with the position described in the posting and nothing like the marketing career that I thought it was going to be based on the description. This is a minimum wage product demo position with small potential for some commission on sales. The wage of 30-40k claimed in the job posting is a total lie and can only happen after you sign other suckers up underneath you. That's right, this is a complete LML/Pyramid scheme and they try really hard to hide that from you. Such a gross misrepresentation of the job should be illegal and this company should be shut down for dishonest recruiting practices.
