I applied online. I interviewed at SHHHOWERCAP (New York, NY) in Oct 2023
Interview
Wasted my time, scheduled me just to get on and say “oh we already saw you”, made me come to their apartment for a “final” interview after 5 virtual interviews and say I really like you da da da. I had to follow up about 7 times after that finally interview for weeks just to be told they wouldn’t be hiring anyone for about 4 months and which if I would have known that I would’ve never interviewed. I wasted 30$ on a Uber to get to that final interview on time because the buses were running late just to have to wait over an hour to be taken up to interview.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at SHHHOWERCAP
Interview
Was suggested to interview by a recruiter who was coordinating my job search at other companies and knew they were looking for a temp to perm role. Did a phone screen and then was sent a "project" to complete before interviewing in person. I honestly wasn't the most enthusiastic of the role because of the temp to perm nature of the position, but decided to give it a shot and go in. However, one person I interviewed with during the in-person flat out said the CEO was extremely difficult to work with and just not an easy person. It was pretty jarring and a huge red flag. I told the recruiter to withdraw my application after that. Looking at the general reviews here, I guess it was a good call. Appreciate the candor of the one employee! Interviews are a two-way street.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at SHHHOWERCAP (New York, NY) in Oct 2018
Interview
Applied via the website and heard back immediately. The first round was a basic video interview where I got to know the CEO more. She seemed to like me and invited me into the office for an in-person interview with her the next day. The interview was very in-depth and long (not in a bad way) and we talked a LOT about my portfolio and work. Half the time was spent discussing my work and the other half was us chatting about life, the company, other start-ups, and our personal and career goals. I thought it went immensely well, and we seemed to vibe perfectly together. After the interview, I sent the usual follow-up email. I never heard back. For three months. And then I received an email saying the position was still open if I was interested, so I replied yes. And once again I never heard back.
