Shortly after I applied I was contacted by a senior manager and was invited to a 30-minute Zoom interview. We talked about my experience as a software engineer, the position at RxAnte, my approach to writing code, etc. The entire interview was very friendly, and I felt very comfortable.
Following that, I was invited to a 1-hour code review with the same senior manager. I was asked to walk him through some code I had written more than a month ago then was tasked with reviewing and analyzing code that he provided. We discussed different strategies and how I would have approached the same code if I was writing it now.
The next step was to participate in 6 30-minute interviews with my potential teammates and stakeholders in other departments. I enjoyed speaking with everyone and felt like they were more interested in getting to know me than trying to find reasons why I wouldn't be a good fit (we've all had interviews where that happens).
One of the things that surprised me was that a significant number of employees at RxAnte have and always will be permanently remote, even before the pandemic hit.
In the end, I was offered the position and was happy to accept! Can't wait to start!
