I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Rookwood Pottery (Cincinnati, OH) in Jul 2018
Interview
The interview process itself was mostly straightforward, other than HR being unusually slow to respond. It was also not made clear that the interview would be a group interview: I was told I'd meet with the Marketing Manager - it ended up being her, the art director, the CEO, and the head of HR. Not necessarily earth-shattering (they were all very nice), but would have been great to know going in. HR also got strangely personal/political in conversations prior to the interview, which was mildly uncomfortable.
My biggest frustration came after the interview, however. After two weeks of radio silence, I reached out to HR via email and phone about the status of my application, and got absolutely nothing back. One week later, I followed up again and still heard nothing. I had been told in the interview that the pay I was asking for was perhaps more than they could offer, but I received no feedback to that end after leaving their office, not even a "We've decided to move forward with other candidates." Overall, it left a bad taste in my mouth. I had felt good about the interview as a whole, and I'm still a big fan of the company as a whole, but I wouldn't have expected that treatment afterwards and found it very disappointing.
