I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Riskhub (London, England) in Aug 2024
Interview
2 step interview. First was a quick screening call 15-20 mins where we learned a bit more about each other. The second one was an on-site task in their office to help them get an understanding of how you work.
The first 15 minutes they briefed me on what needs to be designed, as well as presented some insight. Then the next 45mins to an hour was the task in Figma designing. They've been in the room answering any questions. They've tried to recreating a real-life scenario, less of a test and more of a co-working experience.
Both steps were quite positive, and I really felt like we were a great match, however, they have ghosted me after that. They said they'll give me an answer at the end of the week as they had to finish the rest of the interviews, but that never happened. At least they could've messaged me and say they picked someone else. Just rude and time wasted.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked me about myself and why I am leaving my current job. The in-person task was to design a ticket card for their agents (with priority, agent name, description, etc.. ).
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Riskhub in Oct 2024
Interview
Positive:
- The CPO and MD I interviewed with were professional, transparent, and future-focused.
- Despite undergoing a product team restructure during the process, including changes to the role, the CPO and MD communicated the adjustments and their goals clearly.
Negative:
The restructuring of the product team, which included layoffs (including the hiring manager I interviewed with), changed the scope of the role.
Initially advertised as a junior-mid, delivery-focused position with a £55–65k salary, the role shifted to a mid-senior level with increased responsibilities in discovery, strategy, and direct reporting to the CPO. However, the compensation was not adjusted to match the expanded scope.
After completing the final interview, I was nearly ghosted until I reached out proactively and learned they chose a candidate who accepted a lower salary—below what I believe is market rate for this role.
