      Intern Interview

      Dec 10, 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Riot Games in Oct 2015

      Interview

Initial submission of cover letter and resume, followed by a hackerrank a month later, followed by an email letting me know that different teams were looking at my resume, followed by two weeks of silence and then a rejection letter from a bot. Overall the process took about two months, of which during those two months i didn't talk to a single person. The hackerrank was one question of moderate difficulty but you are given plenty of time, of which you should pass every test case 100%. The most annoying part of the process was the fact it took two months with both a hackerrank and a followup email, yet didn't get to actually have an interview with anyone. This was by far the worst and slowest experience i have ever had while interviewing. While i would still love to work at riot, the experience was frustrating enough that i will not submit my resume to them again when i graduate. Suggestion for improvement/Things to take note of if planning to apply: -very impersonal for the first few months -most other popular internships for the summer will have offers out before you even start the process -slow with little knowledge of what is going on

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Won't ruin their question for them, moderate difficulty hackerrank with three hours given. The hackerrank is one question. Should be solvable with basic algorithm and data structure knowledge.

      Interview

One round with HR, and one technical round, then two rounds behavioral (which the final one is with the hiring manager). The process is extremely well organized and enjoyable! Everyone I talked to are very friendly and passionate. Depends on the role you are applying, but behavioral questions could be a bit hard and specific, and it's important to understand all the Riot values!

What is something you worked on/working on and how do you measure its success.

      Interview

The whole process is really encouraging and productive! There is one tech round and two behavioral rounds. The interviews were not easy, and there was a long list of various questions for the behavioral rounds, get prepared for them! All interviewers were really nice, recruiters were super helpful, and the atmosphere was super enjoyable.
