Interview
I went to a telephone interview through indeed, the HR was arrogant and very rude, I dont like his attitude. So we finish our conversation in a very unhappy end.
I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Ricepo (Flushing, NY) in Sep 2017
Interview
I was first interviewed by their CEO via phone, who then passed me onto the COO for an in person interview. After the 2 hour interview, he politely apologized to inform me that it would take them up to 2 weeks to come up with the results, which was fine with me. Three weeks went by without hearing anything, I reached out to the COO again who said they could not come up with results due to “internal operational problems”. Nevertheless, he promised results within the next 48 hours. Five days went by again without any response, I contacted the COO again who told me they could not “come up with answers because my expected salary could not be justified”. The same night, I wrote both of them (CEO/COO) an email addressing many things that would be related to the position including how my salary would be justified. As expected, I never heard from either of them for 10+ days until I finally sent them a diplomatic email wishing them well. The COO claimed that he had sent me a text message informing they had decided not to move forward with me, which I never received.
I am a firm believer that how a firm treats its future employee during interview round is a microcosm how the employees will be treated in the future.
I wish them well, but I would not recommend this company to anyone else.
