very technical question expected of a certified programmer, where beginners would not be able to answer easily despite encouraging people with no experience to apply. stressful interview with 2 person watching you solve the interview questions
I applied online. I interviewed at Red Alpha (Singapore) (Singapore) in May 2026
Interview
This is in fact not for beginners (unless you are a genius), so do prepare for coding/network fundamentals before applying if you are serious in this programme. Technical assessments included the first round of using pseudocode to solve common coding problems, including arrays, write function to check for prime number or not...etc. Will defo need some coding background to do this. 2nd round on using wireshark to do some network forensics. Final interview was difficult as others have mentioned, my take is that if you are a true beginner to IT, you're going to feel like you're not good enough for this because it's clear that they are looking for people with some ideas/background in networking and cybersecurity. They say they'd like to think about your thought process; to some extent it is true. but I think they expect to hear the right answer. Most of others' experience about the interview shared online is true imo and warnings are there already, so be mentally prepared for it. All the best!
