The panel came off cold and dismissive, with little interest in actually understanding my background or experience. It felt like they were ticking a box, not hiring a person. There was an uncomfortable tone throughout the interview — especially toward candidates from international or diverse backgrounds.
I’ve been through interviews with several firms in Canada, and this one stood out for all the wrong reasons. The experience felt more like a gatekeeping session than a fair assessment of skills.
For a firm that positions itself as inclusive and a “top place to work,” the culture behind closed doors doesn’t reflect that. Future candidates — especially those who are new Canadians or from underrepresented backgrounds — should be cautious and aware of what to expect.

They asked a technical question — fair enough — but the way it was asked felt more like a trap than a genuine discussion. That said a lot about the tone of the whole process.
When they tell you they are going to ask situational questions however they will ask you technical questions. They also don’t like new hires to ask “dumb” questions, which is quite interesting. There’s always better firms out there.
After I applied online, I received an email to submit a Professional History Form, and then I got the opportunity of phone interview. They said successful candidates would be offered to have interview in person next but I did not make it.
