I applied online. I interviewed at Quintessence Wealth
Interview
Screening call then Technical then In-Person meeting with hiring manager and "head of tech". This was interesting. I was made to think i had the job , told i would get an update next business day and barring salary and hiring manager feedback would be good to go, to "not worry" etc. I didnt receive an update until prompted and then received a rejection one week later without acknowledgement.
This is clearly one of those tech shops that are pretty tucked away, comfortably aloof from market pressures; no AI tooling, low salary, everyone "senior", low turnover, everyone older; not in the real world (north york)

The 1st round interview was good. Team lead was nice, polite, straight-shooter. Team was more focused on finding people who get the job done rather than knowing more about the person or cultural fit.

Two Interviews, first one was a 15 minute phone call, second one was a webex meeting. You just have to go over what you liked about your previous firm, what releveant experience you have etc.
