      Marketing Interview

      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Quantcast (San Francisco, CA) in Aug 2011

      Interview

They called me for a phone interview, the questions were pretty standard (background, skills, etc.). Unfortunately were looking for someone with more data analysis experience.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Quantcast (San Francisco, CA)

      Interview

They cold reached out to me. Multiple phone calls and multiple on-sites. It would have been an okay experience, but they ghosted after going pretty far into the process. After multiple follow-ups, I gave up. While normal not to hear from companies when you apply, to get that far along and then not hear from them or respond to emails is completely unacceptable.

      Marketing Interview

      Oct 18, 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Quantcast (San Francisco, CA) in Aug 2016

      Interview

I went through the typical round of phone interviews followed by an onsite interview. The onsite included people from recruiting, marketing, and the head of the business unit. In particular, the department head was supposed to be the highlight. He sold his company to Quantcast and is charged with launching a new product for Quantcast. Word on the street is he's brilliant, charismatic, and energetic. I considered the role a real opportunity to work with someone I thought I could learn a lot from and develop my career. Quite the opposite turned out to be the case. After meeting with the other staff, he was no where to be found and I was left alone in the interview room for almost an hour. Then suddenly another recruiter from personnel came in to chat with me, presumably to kill some more time. Eventually The Man showed up. He was completely unprepared and didn't even know who I was. He claimed to have no strategy or vision for his division. He came across as unremarkable, stand-offish, and even depressed. Afterwards, I heard nothing despite my attempts to follow up. After about a month, I got an automated follow up email from their ATS that they had decided to go with someone else.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Nothing out of the ordinary. Actually the department head didn't really ask anything at all.
