Q4 Inc. Interview Questions

The first interview was with a recruiter and the second was with a group product manager at Q4, both were nice and asked questions you would expect at an Interview like this and also made sure I understood the role I was applying for.

Very organized. Upfront with the responsibilities and company organization. Updated in a timely manner throughout the hiring process. Treated with respect and kindness. Interview questions were thoughtful. Interviewers were prepared to speak honestly and confidently in response to questions.

The interview process was confused from the first call (screening). The recruiter was very rude and seems like was having a bad day. They send the code challenge which wasn't really hard but then they somehow got confused with whether I had pass the code challenge or not. It was a very unpleasing experience.

Do not waste your time here interviewing for a job. They will give you the run around, and do not care about you as an interviewee. They will schedule you in for same day interviews, the people who conduct your interview do not come prepared. You have to ask multiple times about the status of your application, and they’ll tell you they’ll reach out to you and just completely forget. It’s a terrible look for the company. They will waste your time. They’ll make you sound like the perfect candidate and then ghost you. Apply elsewhere.

1 call Recruiter - She is upbeat open, but not on same page with sales. 2nd zoom - Direct with hiring Mgr She is new and not final say 2 other Hiring Mgrs Interview you as well !!! Then recruiter calls me "We love you lets fast track you and book final role presentation as well." OK 3 and 4th Zoom - Other hiring Mgrs that are looking for perfect, this is a good job for someone with 4 years experience - and will adapt to the cool aid. Last action they Deleted/Canceled Presentation Email Invite.

First contact is with the Talent Acquisition, then you follow up with several discussion with various leaders of the organization. From the top leader to the direct manager. Depending on where you end up in the stage one of the final engagements is a presentation to a panel.

2 rounds of interview post the initial screening call. First round was with the hiring manager (product director). He asked general questions around my background and product management. Next round was a panel interview with heads of design and engineering.

Absurdly long process and they give decision rights to people who should be merely consulted, for reference - I cleared a FAANG interview which is way more complex. Hiring managers were stellar but idk about a company that says their values are grind and hustle. Lol.

The overall interview process was fairly straightforward and a quick turnaround. I was interviewed during the pandemic where Q4 was growing quickly so the need to interview candidates in a timely way was important. 1: HR Screening 2: Preliminary Management 3: Senior Management

Recruiter called me and chatted for over 30 minutes. At the end of the interview he asked if I would take a lower position because they are looking for someone with more experience in the role. Why would they waster my time like this? They have my CV and knows exactly how much experience I have. Never heard back from them after the interview, even after follow-up. No rejection, just ghosted.
