Outstanding team
Feb. 14, 2023 - Client Success Manager in Toronto, ONRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The people are amazing. Team work is everything and the culture is amazing.
Cons
Salary low compared to other tech companies but compensation makes up for it

Pros
The people who work for Q4 on a team level for the most part are spectacular people.
Cons
Company values are hustle and grind, and as much as they try to redefine it, we all know what that means. We are understaffed, overworked. There is no system for feedback at this company. Executive management doesn't want to hear from us, or really action on what feedback we do give. They are like politicians - constantly defending their position and righteous to the end.

Difficult Organization in a Difficult Market
Feb. 12, 2023 - Anonymous EmployeeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
- My boss is very capable and seems to care about me as a person - Unlimited PTO is nice and boss seems to respect it
Cons
- Very long hours for the amount being paid - No bonuses for non people managers - Constant misalignment across senior leadership team that causes spin for everyone else - Supposed to be a high growth tech company but takes as long to get alignment on things as working at a big bank - Quality of Product team is very low in some areas - Despite being a company in the capital markets industry, most people don't know anything about the stock market or finance in general - Lack of strategic thinking around product suite and product strategy - Unattainable targets and growth estimates - Quality of some sales and marketing people is concerning - Unclear career opportunities and growth trajectory - Data infrastructure is very difficult. Making real data driven decisions is often impossible - Party and drinking culture permeates the organization directly from leadership. Not enjoyable for someone who doesn't fit into that

Pros
- Unlimited PTO - Free lunches
Cons
Not a diverse Executive Team - red flag (One track mind & diverse experience lacking) Favouritism - Inexperienced people hired just cause they like them. Low involvement - Some execs seems to be just collecting a pay check. Unreasonable expectations Lot of disconnect with company structure Best Places to work votes comes from employees who are looking to move up. Living in a bubble Policies are years behind compared to other tech organizations Processes lacks care and thoughtful planning Long working hours

Not what was promised

Work from home. People on team are great
Cons
Sales leadership prefers to hire externally vs promote. Very slow to get alignment across the company Constant misalignment across senior leadership team that causes spin for everyone else Main product driving company is a hosted website offering, not a saas platform. Most people at Q4 who sell or support our customers don't know anything about the stock market or finance in general. Unattainable targets and growth estimates A partying and drinking culture permeates the organization directly from leadership. Not enjoyable for someone who doesn't fit into that

Pros
All of my coworkers are friendly and want to help. Remote work, but there is an office available in Toronto. Benefits are good. Salary is okay.
Cons
Very few sales reps are hitting their number. Low morale because of recent changes, multiple layoffs last year. Many people are talking about leaving. Leadership and management are invisible. Politics between teams on who gets credit. Many people at all levels have chosen to leave - the common reason - they don't like what Q4 has become and they were tired of dealing with the same problems that no one wants to fix. Upper and exec management have no idea what's happening on the ground and what many employees are doing, and the decisions and lack of action show that. Company and team culture are not the same as it was a year ago. Transparency is lacking. Were were told that layoffs were being done to save the company money and focus on profitability but then the company spends money on projects, activities and parties that are of no value to the company. Changes in direction are frequent but are never committed to.

Pros
- Great benefits (flexible spending account) - Office space - Friendly colleagues and management
Cons

Great place to work
Feb. 16, 2023 - Client Succes Manager in Toronto, ONRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Excellent team dynamic Amazing leadership Great benefits that start from day one Flexible hours Unlimited PTO Fully remote, work from anywhere! Lifestyle spending account Healthcare spending account Safe, supportive environment, inclusive.
Cons
Underpaid Not a ton of growth opportunities, though some do exist Constant changes to the role description Commission structure is based partially on things you can't control, eg: other departments not meeting client satisfaction causing client churn. This somehow affects our payout, and that isn't at all fair.

Great People, but Company Unfortunately Changed for the Worse
Jan. 6, 2023 - Anonymous Employee in Toronto, ONRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
- Really great, friendly people. - Remote work environment with hybrid work option. - Unlimited vacation. - They do try and care about diversity and inclusion here.
Cons
A lot of people left/leaving because they don't like it anymore. - Company culture has gone downhill. It used to focus on internal growth, internal promotions, and encouraging learning, but none of that exists anymore. - Upper and exec management have no idea what's happening on the ground and what many employees are doing, and the decisions they make show that. - Glorified hustle culture that people are realizing isn't sustainable anymore, especially for the pay, as you can get paid more elsewhere. - No transparency even though they say they have a focus on transparency. - Processes change so much that no one can even get comfortable with a process before it changes again. - Low morale because of recent changes and layoffs last year.

Great CSM culture, but long hours.
Jan. 16, 2023 - Client Success Manager in Toronto, ONRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Great team spirit. I have never worked for such a tight team that is willing to lend a hand at anytime. Very supportive and really wanting to help. I appreciate Q4 in offering a hybrid environment where you can choose to go to the office or not, no minimum requirement. Great selection of coffee and tea, and parties. Dogs are always welcome.
Cons
Toxic culture at the c-level. Lack of growth and being paid less than minimum wage for the number of hours CSMs work and the salary is not competitive at all.
