After the phone interview, I ran from this company as far as I could.
First, they ask standard questions you would expect why did you leave here and explain gaps in the resume. Then the interview took a turn for the worse.
They asked personal questions like how did you support yourself financially during this gap of employment, and if I like dogs. Apparently, this is another one of those "family owned and operated" businesses where professionalism will have large departures from the norm. I digress.
Anyway, the largest problem is THEY DON'T PROVIDE HEALTH INSURANCE!!!
Worse yet they asked if I smoked, which I don't, and I know some companies do that now
However, if you refuse to provide health insurance then whether I smoke cigarettes, go spelunking, drive a motorcycle, or particate in other legal minor personal health risks are no of your business.
Advice for Job Seekers:
Make sure they provide health insurance. Research the company and ask specific questions on the career path. I guarantee you will find the results interesting.
