Interview
After some attendee shuffling, I had a Zoom interview with Postlight. Once the date was set, I interviewed one-on-one with a senior employee -- but she was multi-tasking, and made no apologies/excuse as to why her attention was diverted. It ultimately felt like a waste of time instead of an actual interview.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Postlight in Apr 2022
Interview
The candidate experience was top shelf. Bec, the company's lead recruiter, is both a rock star and an outstanding representative for Postlight. She guided the process effectively, set clear expectations re: procedural steps, demonstrated a deep understand of both the company's operations and needs, and was so timely with her responses that often times she had already booked next steps before I was able to send a thank you! Bec made me feel valued as a candidate and excited to join Postlight, and I appreciated her candor throughout the process. Since joining Postlight, the company and its culture has both met and exceeded the lofty expectations set by Bec.
The process itself included an initial screening with Bec (recruiting), an interview with the hiring manager, a challenge/case study presentation (for which I was presented with a $200 gift card in recognition of my time), a leadership-focused interview with 2 members of the SLT, a collaboration-focused interview with members of the Design and Engineering teams, and an executive-level interview with Postlight's CEO and President.

Question 1
Describe a time when you had to get buy-in/permission from multiple stakeholders to move forward with an initiative.
The process involved a screening call with the recruiter, discussion with the department head, a presentation (making it and then presenting it to two other team members) and a final round of meeting members of other teams. Postlight respected the fact that this is a long process, and by a certain point in the process I was compensated for my time (something I have never experienced with another company and think should be standard for ALL companies.) The recruiter kept me updated and informed at every step and was easily one of the most attentive and conscientious partners I've ever had while going through the hiring process.
