I met with the recruiter from college career fair and I applied for the position of Software Developer through handshake portal. I was contacted by the recruiter a week later to take the online eSkill test. I was contacted two weeks later by the recruiter. Next round of interview was online with the senior developer. It was 20 minutes of technical questions and 10 minutes for me to ask the questions about the job and the company. The questions were similar to the one that is shared by others here in Glassdoor. The final interview was in the company’s headquarters at Oklahoma City. The transportation, itinerary and what to expect for the interview day was taken care of and communicated well before the interview day by the recruiter. The day before the interview was the Tech Night. Through it, I got the feel of the company culture, to meet people, hear from the employees, ask questions, experience the campus and also had fun playing golf late evening. The interview was scheduled the next day for 30 minutes. The questions were asked to know my understanding of object-oriented concepts, database transaction and web programming with practical examples. I received the offer a week later. It is been a month I am part of Paycom. I had three weeks of training. I started working with a team for more than a week now. The interview process was clear, focused and smooth, communication by the recruiter was timely, the company atmosphere is fun and relaxed, people are friendly. Overall had a positive and good experience.
