Interview

First round started with recruiter. Second round was a phone call for a technical round and I was asked questions about data structures, complexity and some OOP basic questions. I was invited over for a super day to the PayPal office, there were 3 rounds. Two technical - OOP, programming questions and System design. Final round was with the hiring manager.

OA assignment then followed by a onsite virtual interview loop that consist on a system design interview, a code interview and an interview with the hiring manager. They ask leetcode style question, the system design interview was kind of hard.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at PayPal (San Jose, CA) in Sep 2025

Interview

The interview process is typical of any other tech company, but don’t waste your time interviewing with them if you’re genuinely looking for a job. After multiple rounds of interviews, they don’t even have the courtesy to share a decision or send a rejection email. Even after a couple of weeks following the onsite rounds, they just ghost you as if they’ve never heard of you before.

I can’t share the exact questions due to an NDA, but typical LeetCode and system design preparation is sufficient, along with clearly articulating your past work experience.
