I worked at PayPal full-time (More than 5 years)
Very good people across the org, who had a strong sense of urgency. PayPal brings real value to brands, and the results are there. Only downside in sales at that time was a bit of a good ole boys club whereby certain employees were set up with preferential lists and deals/money to make them work. Sure that has changed.
Company has changed in terms of culture. Not nearly as disruptive or hungry. More yes people who are rewarded for never sticking their neck out. Some people have been there for years with little to no performance to speak of. That tends to happens at a certain size. Dan seems like a good guy with the right values, which is important in any leadership scenario.
Advice to Management
Be sure to focus on an entrepreneurial mindset and value employees who care enough to push for better, and raise concerns. In past, the best employees with the best numbers were sometimes penalized for caring deeply and attempting to fix things for the customers and the business. Those who manipulated the numbers and flew under the radar were rewarded for doing so.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at PayPal.
il y a 4 entretiens... Je les ai rencontré sur un salon de l'emploi à Paris puis tout s'est passé via Skype avec une mise en situation pro en guise de dernière épreuve.
