Interview process - This is where the process was extremely negative. Team provided disjointed feedback and was poor in communicating next steps, being transparent about delays in the process.
The Ugly - An offer was extended by the Founder, but he neglected to mention it was contingent on client placement. Asked me, as a candidate who had not yet been confirmed for employment, to jump on a sales pitch to a potential client and met directly with a high level VP, without even the guarantee of employment. Once the offer was in fact signed from my end, I was completely ghosted and only heard back a month later with a curt "we have no present need" email.
Summary: Please treat your candidates with respect and be transparent about constraints to the offer. It's not fair to extend and offer and use the possibility of employment to compel participation in a sales pitch, and then go cold turkey when the pitch does not fall through.
