Phone call with HR manager, video call with hiring manager, in person interview round with 5-6 people in different positions taking about 4 hours. All interviews went well and the people I interviewed with all seemed like they were smart and knew their field well. There were no hard technical questions, lots of what would you do in these scenario questions. After the interview round, I hadn't heard back from the HR manager so I emailed after ~10 days, was told they were still interviewing and was asked about my preferred salary for the third time. I didn't hear back for a few weeks and was then sent an email saying they hired someone. It seemed like my preferred salary range was on their high end which was below the market average for what they were seeking.
