I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Nordstrom (Boston, MA) in Feb 2013
Interview
The HR rep that interviewed me forgot about 2 of my 3 interviews. Very disappointing as I was over qualified for the internship and was offered the position at another store. She blamed it on the one hour time difference both times. One of my interviews took over a week for her to get back to me. I hope that this only reflects on the store I was applying at because my Nordstroms in my hometown is nothing like that.

Question 1
I did all of my interviews via phone because I was applying for a store in Boston, but live in Dallas, TX - so the part where you have to pretend to make a sale was difficult over the phone because I had to talk about fake merchandise.
The interview process was ok. It was a digital interview. Some of the questions threw me off. Come prepared about the company’s history. If your prepared you should be fine.

I met with HR where they asked a few basic interview questions. At the end, I had to do a selling exercise of different items. It was overall laid back, and they wanted to get a sense of if I could interact with customers
